Notification Sign-Up:

What is it? It is designed to notify Thomson Fire District residents of emergencies via telephone (land line or mobile), email, and/or text in addition to or in lieu of the Village siren.
Why do we need it? This system will allow us to alert the residents who subscribe of any emergencies (weather or otherwise) that may arise, enabling us to extend our emergency notification coverage to those who cannot hear the sirens. For example, it could be used to notify of road closures due to emergency, severe weather, brush fires, all clear, etc.
How much is it? For you it is FREE! This service is provided to you courtesy of the Thomson Fire Department.
Do I have to sign up? No you do not.
Who can sign up? Only those Residents within the Thomson Fire District. If you are not sure if you are in the district, a firefighter will be happy to help you.
Where do I sign up? I am glad you asked. It is easy to do if you have a computer, simply go to this link: If you do not have a computer, a family member (or anyone you know) who does have a computer can help sign you up, or you can contact the program POC (see below) and he will be glad to assist you.
Is it hard to sign up? Not at all! You simply go to the website provided above, enter your name, e-mail address, land line and mobile phone numbers, enter cell phone carrier (for texting purposes), choose your notification preference, and hit submit!
What if I only want to be notified by land line? Great question! When you are signing up, you can enter all the information and select your notification preference to be land line only.
