Don’t miss the Thomson Sesquicentennial TRIBUTE TO AGRICULTURE ON March 14.  Fill up your hungry spot at the American Legion-sponsored pancake brakfast, beginning 7 am at the Fire Station and tour Shafer Fisheries at 2112 Sandride Road from 9:00 to noon, before heading to the Thomson School gym. FREE ADMISSION! Events and Exhibits to amaze and delight all age groups include sponsors John Deere historic forge Demonstration, West Carroll Vocational Ag & Sience, 4H, Agri-King, COUNTRY Companies, Carroll Service, “Bim” McGinnis Melons, Durward Farms, Balk Grain & Trucking, and MORE!  Don’t miss the outside exhibits: Antique farm machinery, Potato Planter, Combine, Asian Carp fishing nets and commercial boats, and a demonstration of Agricultural DRONES. Additional presentations at the Thomson school library, a photography contest, and a “Salute to Thomson’s 100-Year Farms” make this an event with SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!  Plan to attend or you will fell left out of the conversation when everyone is talking about this at church on Sunday and at the coffee shop on Monday!
